Apply for J1 waiver well before expiry on DS-2019
Hello,
I am currently a post-doc on J1 visa. My J1 started on august 2014. I got an extension for 2 more years now so my J1 will expire in october 2016. I would like to apply for the J1 waiver now but I am very confused how can I address my statement of reason for the DOS as I would like to apply for the waiver very early.
But applying for the waiver is a real necessity for me since my J1 sponsor is not sure if they could fund me from august 2016. Could anyone please suggest to me the statement of reason to DOS for my situation.
