I got a reaserch work for 6 months as part of my course in a US university but the university people saying that i am not eligible to apply for J1 visa.They suggested that it is better to try another option instead of J1.Some of my friends telling that Iam eligible for F1?is it true?according to my view F1 will not give for a period of 6 months or 1yr.
