I have been approved for an exchange semester in Spring and have applied for a J1 visa. However, the visa appointment I was given is after the start of my classes in the US. I have submitted an expedited/emergency appointment request and am seeking advice from anyone who has gone through a similar situation. How long does it usually take to receive a response to expedited requests, and what should koows I echat expect next? Any guidance would be appreciated.
