The Scene :-- My girlfriend ( US citizen ) & I (Indian) met each other online 2 years back and since then, have been keeping in constant touch with each other through e-mails, Skype, and regular mail (post& courier)..Now we have decided to get engaged and she plans to come down to India for the engagement. Both of us have had a failed marriage in the past.
Here in India, The court does not give us the Original divorce papers, what I was given was a "Photostat certified copy of Judgement", which has the attestation of the Superintendent of the sessions court and the seal of the judge.
Now the clarification I needed is this :-
Since I would need to submit my divorce papers ( 2 copies to be sent with the Fiancee petition) and 1 for me to produce at the time of the interview.. Do all the copies need to have the original blue seal or would photocopies of the above mentioned suffice ?
Hoping for your kind advice
regards
