Hi! I wanted to ask if I can get married in the U.S. to a H1B visa holder while I am there on Visa Waiver Program.
Once having got married and before the 90 days of the VWP have expired, I would go back to Europe and apply from there for a H4 visa. This is because we both plan to go home for the Christmas holidays anyway, and besides I will have to spend one month in Europe for other bureaucratic issues.
How long does it normally take to process a H4 visa from your home country outside the U.S.?
