h-1 extension pending..employer bought out.

Here's my scenario..my current Employer A has applied for my h-1 extension (pending) and started green card application (approved i-140). Employer B recently bought out my current employer.
My question: i guess employer B will have to transfer my h-1, but how does this situation affect my green card application? will i need to restart the green card process from scratch? can the priority date be retained?

this is my first time ever on a forum..please help.
