H1B and F1 questions
Hi Senior Members,
I have few queries. I anyone can provide some insights it would be really helpful.
1. I joined Company A sometime back. I have a F1 visa valid till 2015. I am currently on OPT. Company A wants to file my H1B in April 2013. I may decide in the month of June/July that I want to go back to school from Jan 2014. Since I have a valid F1 and H1B does not become effective till 1 Oct 2013 all I need is an I-20 from the university. What should I do to my H1B processing then ? Can I cancel it/stop it?
2. Also I am a masters from USA. I will always fall in 20000 pool for H1B processing. Is the 20000 pool a first come first serve one ? Or does the 20000 pool has a lottery always ?
3. I have a F1 valid till 2015 and a OPT/EAD card. In this scenario if Company A files for H1B in April 2013 can I travel to India in May 2013 and come back on F1 and OPT without negatively impacting my H1B petition ?
