Hi Friends,
I have got my H1B stamping done a few months back. I have a few questions.
1. I was informed by a friend that there is a immigration rule which says the candidate should travel to US within 6months from the date of stamping, else visa will not be valid. Is there really any such clause/rule ?
2. I have not been to US yet. But I am able to find a new sponsor from India itself. If I go ahead and ask the new employer to file a petition for my visa transfer, how long will it take to get the transfer done and what are the chances of approval ? (please note that I have not traveled to US from my current employer yet).
Will the fact that I have not worked for my current employer in US yet effect the chances of H1B transfer to new employer in any way ?
3. Lets say the visa transfer is initiated and my current employer got to know that I am going to leave the company soon. Can he stop the transfer process in any way ?
Would appreciate your help. Thanks !
