I have my H1B with US based company in 3 yr extension period (beyond 6 regular years) valid till Aug 2014. I have I-140 approved with the same company. Last year I voluntarily took unpaid Leave of Absence for 1 year and hence my payroll is not running with my current company but h1B is there with my current company. I am out of USA since Mar 2012.
my question is that what are my options now if I want to return to USA.
Shall I have to join back my current employer or could I get my H1B directly transferred to some other employer?
Do I need to go back to USA on current H1B to get my H1B transferred or could it done from India itself
what documents shall I be required as I won't have paystubs for last one year with my current employer
