Your help is highly appreciated as I am totally confused...
I am on H1b, wife n kid on H4.
I work for a good US company and got a promotion, change in work location (2k miles) and raise in salary recently. My employer is already working with attorneys on these H1 ammendments.
In the mean time, my wife n kid travelled to india for some function and would like to return by next month.
Now the question is, my dependents have to get the new visa stamp as the previous stamp was old one and we have extended visa now.
1. Does it really matter for her to go for stamping while my h1 is getting ammended? should they wait until all these changes are completed or she can go in the middle?
2. Since I am going from west to east coast there will be change in port of entry too. Does this really matter? should they land in the same state where my work location is?
Any suggestions on the safest way? I want need my dependents to come back to the location where ill be moving next month.
