Hello All,
I am on an H1B visa - valid till Aug 2014.
My wife is on a L1B : Validity Oct 2013, I94 : July 2015.
we were exploring options for her to not work in USA and still be able to stay here due to personal reasons.
I-539 - change of status form is being suggested.
Does anybody have any experience with the above L1B to H4 transfer while being in USA without having to leave the country?
Processing times for I-539 are being listed as 2.5 months and some blogs /forums say apply 6 months in advance.
Once I-539 is applied - can the person stay in USA till it is approved? Similar to H1B extension?
