Hi Experts,
I had L1 visa till Aug 2013 and applied for L1B extension. Since L1B approval ratio is very low these days, my employer also initiated fresh H1B visa. Since we can stay 240 days from the day of extension requested, I am staying/working in US. My L1B visa is in Initial Review since 4 months.
I recently got approval for H1B visa, but it looks like USCIS treated granted me H1B extension instead of fresh H1B visa. My employer is saying that we have applied for fresh visa not extension and they will call USCIS to check this issue. I also got new I-94 with the same number in my current passport (with L1 visa).
Could you please confirm what are the possible scenario now? Will I get any issue while stamping if I use current approval document or I should fix this issue before we start stamping process.
