H1B Invest in real estate

Hi,

I have been on H1B for several years and there will be several more years before I can get my GC. I want to do real estate investment. Such as buy a house at low price, refurbish it in couple months, and sell it at high price. Is it allowed for a H1B visa holder? Where can I find the violation listings for H1B visa holder?
