Which I-94 number is my most current?

I have an issue here.
I had a H1b visa valid from 2012-2015. In 2013 Aug. I filed an H1b extension, and then I travelled to my home country and re-entered US in Sep. After entry, I retrieved my I-94 information online. In Oct. I received approval of new H1b (extension), at the bottom of the new 797 form there is another I-94 number. This I-94 number on new 797 form is different from the O-94 number I retrieved online. I wonder if there is anything wrong or one number expires.
