Hi,
I am working for my current employer X on OPT after finishing my PhD and my OPT ends in September 5th. My current employer has applied for my H1 and my employer is not subjected to annual cap. My employer X has suggested starting date of my H1 to be September 1st. But I may start working for another company Y in October and they may apply for another H1 in April under annual cap.
So my concern is: is it ok to work for my current employer X just for 1 month on H1 before switching to company Y? Is it going to create any kind of legal trouble or during applying for green card?
Please help me in making a wise decision.
