Can I file H4 with my current I797 petition when my H1B extension is in progress?

Hi All,

My current H1B is valid until 26 November 2014. Currently My H1B extension is going to be filed by my employer before end of this month(June 2014).

I am getting married in 29 August 2014. I want to file for my wife's H4 by mid of sepetember.

Can I file H4 with my current petition when my H1B extension is in progress. Thanks for letting me know.
