Does H4 requires stamping,if H1B has gap
My H1b was valid until Oct 2016 with my previous employer and H4 also for my family until Oct 2016.I changed my job in July 2014.However,my new employee filed my H1B late resulting into a gap of 10 days in my H1B.The company attorney told me to get my H1B visa(valid until Sep 2017) stamped from India which I did without any problem.I have following questions:
1)Do I have to get H4 visa stamped for family members also right away?I was thinking of getting it stamped when visiting India.Currently they have I-94(from the previous employer) from USCIS valid until Oct 2016.
2)If they have to get the visa stamped right away can it be done from Tiajuana,Mexico or it has to be from India?
Need advice from the members if anybody has got through similar situation or if if somebody can share their views.Thanks in advance.
