Approved H1B petition , did not work, expired in sept 2014, can use same petition now

I have an approved H1 B petition ( not visa) from my last employer A India. My H1B was filed and approved in 2012 when I was working in India. I quit my job in India and came to US on H4 visa in 2012. I never used my H1B petition for any job here and therefore doesn’t have any payslip which might be needed for H1B transfer. My I797 expired in Sep 2014. Can I use the same petition for a new job here?

Please help.
