I'm Singaporean but have been living in another country in East Asia for the past few months. I need to apply for a H1B1 but was wondering if I should go home to SG to apply for it, or just do it in Taiwan. Don't really want to fork out the airfare. :P
I know that since the H1B1 is a non-immigrant visa, I need to show proof of non-immigrant intent. And I know it will be harder to prove ties to Singapore if I am abroad, but I wonder if it is significantly harder to warrant a flight back? What are the odds of this gamble, anyone has any idea? Thanks!!
