Hi,
I entered US in Jan 2014 with H4 VISA. My husband holds a H1. I applied for H1B through an employer and got the VISA approved. Due to my health conditions I could not go for work after my VISA got approved. Now we are planning to change the VISA status back to H4 from H1.
My questions are
1) I heard that we can switch back to H1B from H4 anytime since I had an approved H1. Is that true? (so that I could get back to H1 after a year or so and start working rather than applying a new H1)
2) If so when I apply for change of status from H4 to H1B will they ask for pay-stubs?
3) My husband switched to a new company recently. and has got a new petition number. will my old H4 visa (tagged to my husband's previous petition number) still be valid or do I need to apply for a new one?
4) We are planning for a vacation to India in May. Please advise on what all needs to be done before and during the vacation.
