translator for H4 interview - please help

Hi,
I have been trying to book an appointment for my wife (H4 visa) in tamil language using the VFS site but there is never an opening for that. Now, I took an appointment in English hoping that she can request a translator at the consulate. Has anyone attended the H4 interview in non-english language using a translator (Tamil, malayalam etc) recently ? did they ask if you want a translator when you go into the consulate ?

Please help, my wife is very nervous to attend in english and hoping they will provide her a translator.
