This is Vani from Bangalore, I was working with one of the leading services company in India from 2006 to 2010. I got my B1 stamped in January 2008 and L1B through the same company in April 2008. Due to budget cut in the company I had never travelled to US after getting B1 and L1. Same company applied for L2 for my husband in October 2008 after I got married.
Same time another company offered me and filed petition for H1B in 2008 CAP quota. The petition got approved in August 2008. But due to recession during the time my travel did not happen and I did not receive i797 from the new employer. I only have the petition number and https://egov.uscis.gov shows my petition was approved in August 2008. Now I am working in another company from 2010 to till date. I had never been to US.
My question now is can any new employer process my travel on the same H1B petition? If so what is the procedure.
