I am currently working at a university, and I now know that I am hired for another academic year. My current contract ends in May, and my I-25 says my stay is approved until the last week of May. The new contract will start in August, with the same employer. I am trying to get an idea of what I will have to do during that 2.5 months while waiting to hear from out attorney. Even if the employer "extended" the contract, do I have to step out of the country during the period I am not paid?
