Dear friends,
I am hoping somebody can shed more light on this situation. I am planning to fly into Mexico from Bangalore using my B1/B2 visa as a tourist. Once I am inside Mexico, I want to attend the H1B interview to get my visa stamped. I still need to pay the fees and schedule an interview date.
My previous visa expired on Sep 14, 2015. Hence I could not qualify for a drop box in time and the wait times in all the US consulates in India is 90-120 days. I do not want to be stuck in Bangalore until January 2017 and hence this work around.
My visa is for the same position, same company, nothing has changed since my last issued visa. My previous H1B was issued at Chennai consulate in 2012.
Are there any potential problems that I might face? Any other relevant information will be appreciated.
