Validity of H1 Petition

Hi,
I was in USA from oct 2003 to May 2005 on H1B.Later i went back to india.My H1 Petition is valid till June 2006.I got married,quit my job and came back to US on H4.In chennai consulate they cancelled my previous H1 stamping while approving H4.Now i am back in USA on H4 and want to apply for H1.IS my old H1 petition still valid(since already i quit the job)Is it of any use to me for my new H1
