Hello Everyone,
Following are the key points of case -
1) Laid off from work in US in March,2016. ( I have already been counted towards the H1b slot and was working since July 2013 in Houston as a Mechanical Engineer( Oil & Gas)
2) Came back to india in July 2016, after bagging a job in US, for visa stamping as my stay in US was invalid.
3) Received approval notice(I797B) by mail in August 2016.
I submitted my documents via dropbox service as the online portal didn't allowed me to schedule for an interview. Weeks later I received my passport enclosing a letter describing my case suspended under 221G. The reason being personal interview with a validity of one year to get this process completed. Thereafter, my employer advised me to stay back in India due to shortage of work.
QUESTION:- Now I am planning to interview in coming few months, so should I request a new joining letter and approval notice or simply show up at the consulate with my documents currently in hand.
I would appreciate your valuable input, experiences and foresight. Thank you.
Regards,
Ashwani Chandra
