Hi all,
I would like to thank each one of you for posting on immihelp. It helped me prepare and get through my bisa interview.
My husband and I, appeared for a visa interview today at Delhi consulate. Here are the details:
Husband: Good Morning.
VO: Pass on your passports and i797.
(The VO didn't smile nor did he respond back, it made me nervous but I smiled)
VO (To my husband): You work with YYYY employer?
Husband: Yes
VO: What would be your salary in US?
Husband: Answered
VO: Who is your end client?
Husband: Answered
VO: Where will you be working?
Husband: Answered
VO: Can you share the details of your academics?
Huband: Answered
VO: What would you be doing for your client? (ROLE)
Husband: Answered
VO: Do you have a client letter?
Husband: Yes (While he looked onto pass the letter, VO turned to question me).
VO (To me): How long have you known this guy?
Me: I met him through yahoo messenger, 10 years ago and got married about 2 years ago. (VO looks at me astonishingly)
VO: Do you have a few pictures of your wedding?
Me: Hands over the pictures (He looked through atleast 10 of them and also looked at the client letter)
VO: Where did the marriage happen?
Me: Rohtak, his hometown (Pointing at my husband)
VO (To us): Your visa has been approved. Have a safe trip. -No smile-
We thanked and left the consulate.
P.S. Now that I have faced it for myself, it is truly about confidence. Also mind the following:
1.) Listen, and then answer.
2.) Speak clearly.
3.) They say, keep it brief but provide the details if you think it supports the point.
4.) Carry marriage photos even if you have a certificate.
5.) Read immihelp, its helps. A lot!
