cap-exempt (company A) and cap subject (company B) H1B petition in same year
Present employer company A has a approved 2014 petition for me (receipt number not shared with me).
Company B in USA has applied fresh H1B for me this year.
Now company A wants to use the 2014 application (cap-exempt) to get me a visa for a US project that it has and wants me to confirm the acceptance of the project asap (i will not have the wait period to see if i get picked up in lottery this year for Company B as i have to confirm to company A asap).
Intention: To join company B
Question: Will company A's cap-exempt application (using the approved petition from 2014) affect the company B's application should it get picked up in lottery. my dilema on answering no to company A's project is that if i dont get selected in lottery on company B's petition, then its a missed oppurtunity.
