Hi. My husbands H1B extension filed in March 2016, was still in pending (security reasons) until March 2017, while H1B expired in September 2016. He worked until March 2017, then resigned and applied for change of status to H4 in March 2017, which is still pending. Main reason for quitting his job is due to being in separate places, and difficulty getting a new job in my place while H1B extension pending beyond expiration date. Due to family emergency, had to travel to India while COS application for H4 was still pending. Now will be going for VISA interview for H4. Besides my employer details and I797, what is the likelihood of questions being asked about his prior H1B? My H1B is stamped, and valid until 2019. We are very nervous about H4 approval. What difficulties should we expect, how likely are his chances of getting H4 approved? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
