Change of status from F1 - H1B and H4

Hi All,

I am currently working in F1 visa, with my OPT expiring on June 18th 2018. I will be filing for H1B petition during April window. I have 2 questions now -

1. My wife is present in US in F2 visa. Should H4 petition be filed along with H1B? If yes, should i seek assistance from same immigration attorney to file it?
2. Can my wife travel to India during April-May month? (Will my change of status affect her)
