Hello all,
I have around 11 months left on my H1 (max out of May 2019). My current H1- I-797 is valid till October 2018.
I am planning to convert to H4 currently. I have a few questions.
1) Am i allowed to be in USA based on H1 to H4 receipt notice and quit my job once I receive the receipt notice for the COS? Do I need to wait till the H4 COS approval to be in status? I don't want to be out of status anytime .
2) Since my i-797 is valid till October 2018 , if I quit my job in June, will my H1 be invalid after my last working day or only in October?
3) What will be my remaining H1 for max out if I quit my job in June? Will it be only 7 months considering October i-797 or my quitting date which will give me 10 months atleast?
