A little bit about my background:
I am a full time employee with a fortune 500 company working in a non-IT field. I was eligible for a drop box submission for my H1B extension.
November 1: Summited by documents for stamping at the drop box in Hyderabad. When submitting my application, I was told that it would take about 7-10 days to process my visa.
November 2: My application went into administrative processing
My Visa has been in administrative processing since November 2nd. Both case created and case-updated date is November 2nd. Earlier the Passport status was showing up as ?your passport is still with the us embassy/consulate? but on the evening of November 16th it changed to "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted." I haven?t received any 221g requests in the past 11 business days and yet my application continues to be in administrative processing. Has any one experienced a similar wait time?
