Hello all,
I have a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering working for well known company since Feb 2018, i came for my first H1B stamping to Hyderabad, the following are the details of my interview (F1 VISA expired in 2016)
Consulate: Hyderabad
Jan 10: Fingerprinting
Jan 11: Visa interview
VO: Did this company YYYY file your petition?
Me: Yes
VO: Whats your highest degree?
Me: Answered
VO: Do you know your legal rights in the US?
Me: Yes
VO: whats your major?
Me: Answered
VO: We need to do some additional processing on your VISA, you will receive a questionnaire through email by the end of day, answer it and send us as soon as possible
Me: How long this takes
VO: Generally it takes 21 days, most of the cases will be resolved during this time frame
Me: What about my passport
VO: We will ask later for your passport
I have replied with the answered questionnaire with documents such as employment letter, resume and offer letter on the following day, received an auto generated receipt email in few minutes
Case created date: 10th Jan
Case last updated date: 11th Jan
Its been 4 weeks since the interview date and document submission, no news yet from the consulate
Any one in the same boat? Can you share you experience and how long it took to hear from the consulate?
