conversions from L2 to H1B

Hi,
This is my first post to this foroum I'm in a lot of confusion I wanted to knw one important thing.Actually I came to USA on a L2 visa which is valid for another one year. In the meantime I had applied for a H1B visa (conversion)
and I got it approved. As my H1B visa is approved so am i on a H1B now do I need to get it stamped to be on H1B visa. Is my L2 visa invalid now?

---- There is no need for H1 Visa (stamping) if the Visa stamped on your Passport is valid. Your Visa status on L2 is valid till the date of its expiry. Altough you L2 petition becomes invalid due to a change in status. In the meanwhile if you have changed th Visa status (like H1) the Visa status is not affected and you can continue staying in the US.

---- However, if you travel outside US you have to get your Passport stamped to seek reentry to US after the Vis on your Passport expires
