Hi, My visa stamp expired on 15-Jan-07. I have filed for an extension (7th year) based on my pending GC and it is currently in process and hasnt been approved. I need to travel to India on an emergency. Can I travel during this time before the approval. Granted I need a visa to reenter and this can be managed by getting an appointment in India and they are faster nowadays. Can I leave US now without risking the chances of reentry?
