Would appreciate if anyone can clarify reg H4

Right now, I am on H1 ( tied 2 H4s) and recenlty changed my employer. But my employer has applied only for H1 transfer. When I asked about H4, I got the answer saying that no need to apply again since it is tied to H1 and that too not applying additional extension apart from what is current.

Could any once clarify me.
