Regarding changing H1B status to H4 status

Hi
I already completed 6yrs of H1B visa but USCIS given me one more year on my present H1B visa. But before that i transfered my H1B visa to H4 status. My wife she is already in H1B status. I want to know whether i have to stay 1 year out of the country since i completed my H1b status. Ps. reply for this question.
