Out of status of 10 days during H4 to h1 transfer

Hi,

I am on H4 and i got my H1 B approved and is valid from Oct 1st. but my H4 is expiring in Sep 20th that make me out of status for 10 days.

Will it be ok to in out of status for 10 days or

do i have to file for my h4 extention and i have file for my change of status to H1B
