I am presently working on H1B visa since 1st Oct07 (visa valid upto Sept 2010).I am planning to travel to India to get my visa converted from an H1 to an F2. I also have an existing valid b1/b2 visa.
My questions are:
1) When I get the F2 visa my H1 might get stamped on the passport as - "Cancelled without prejudice", is this an issue, in terms of getting a new H1 when I find a new employer later on and wish to convert status from F2 to H1without being part of cap or to wait till October to start new employment?
2) Do I need to resign from present employer's payroll before I apply for a dependent F2 visa?
3) To re-enter USA on H1B visa, what documents are required to be shown at port of entry?
