How long valid passport required for entry on H1B visa?

I got H1 in Jan2001 but due to econonmic problems, my employer did not call me. Now he got a project and is calling me. I have H1 visa valid upto Sep 2003, but my passport will expire after 2 months. Please anyone guide me, that can I enter in USA or is there a limit that passport should be valid for next six months?
