I got a courtesy copy of my h1 approval notice. The original copy sent to my attorney has been lost in mail. Getting duplicate h1 takes about 6 months to one year. I have applied for it. I can get my re-validation done from Washington DC. This will take about 6-8 weeks. This process has started. I am getting married in a couple of months in India. I came to know that H4 visa will not be issued based on courtesy copy (I-797C) of approval notice. A US-Consulate in India confirmed this. Any suggestions?
