This thread is for all those unfortunate people like me who got white 221g after the H1 visa interview at Mumbai consulate recently. Please share your experiences. Mine is below:
Went for fresh H1 visa interview at Mumbai consulate a couple of days back.
Officer: So you are a B.E in ___________?
Me: Yes.
Officer: and you are working for __________?
Me: Yes.
Officer: Will you be working for your petitioner company in U.S or their Client?
Me: I will be working for the petitioner company on their tool.
Officer: Do you have any documentation about that tool and your project?
Me:No, i was verbally explained about the tool during the interview
Officer: Do you have their Tax papers?
Me: Yes, would you like to see them?
Officer: No.
Hands over a white 221g to me asking for my project details in U.S company, Employee details & Tax papers
I am still waiting for the documents to arrive from my company. My petitioner is a desi consulting company and they have their own tool, so they have all the documents about that tool. Please tell me what are the chances of getting the visa after i submit the documents..
I have another question: If this 221g decision takes a long time, then i might apply for H4 visa since my fiance is in U.S on H1 visa. Will this impact my H4 visa, moreover, once i get my H4 visa, will they still process my H1 case and notify me about the 221g decision?
