Dear experts,
A company did H1 for me. I got stamping when I was in India.
B company transfered my H1 when I was in India and again I got stamping in India.
I came to USA on B company and worked for six months. Due to recession, B company wants me to come back to my home country. Then I contacted my A company, then A company said to stay with then in USA. A company applied for H1b ammendment in Feb, 2009. But USCIS said my case will be treated as fresh H1B and USCIS asked for remaining fees of 1500 dollars. And 1500 dollars was paid by my A company in April, 2009.
BUT still my status is RFE in the uscis site when I searched with my receipt number and I did not get my I797 yet for my A employer.
My employer said, he called USCIS customer care and followed up with my case and it may take few weeks to get response from them. My employer is telling that I can work for him with out any issues.
Some body are telling I need to leave the country.
I recently completed my contract as well with my client. Can I work for my employer ? ? ? What I need to do now ? Do I need to go back to India ? or try for H1 transfer?
