I am in the process of divorce but my H4 EAD application is pending, how should I do?

I have a master degree from India and I have around 5 conference publications and around 150 citations. Most of them come from a co-authored paper published in a reputable conference meeting.
I am currently applying for H4 EAD and it's pending. I am currently in the divorce process with my husband due to domestic violence.
Should I apply for green card or change my status to F visa by enrolling a school program?
