My spouse is a Canadian Citizen living in U.S. with H4 status that is expiring on Sep 20, 2019. We have already filed for H4 and H4 EAD extension. Is it okay for her to visit Canada for a weekend and return before her current I94 expires? Is it true that if she leaves the country while her H4 application is in process, the application will be considered abandoned (even if she returns before the expiry of existing I94/H4)? Please let me know. Thanks!
