I was laid off and my 60 day grace period is about to end
My h1b transfer packet is expected to reach USCIS 2 days after the grace period ends. I also have an h4 packet ready to ship.
1. Is it advisable to file for h4 COS before the grace period ends to remain in status? and then send the H1b transfer packet 1 day after the grace period?
2. Do I have to wait for H4 COS to be approved before new employer can apply for H1 transfer?
3. Does the h1b has to be linked with h4 receipt
4. Is it okay to be out of status for 2 days? or are there any alternate options?
