Hi folks,
My H1B is ending on 24th June, 2010 and my employer has already applied for an extension. Extension application is in process with USCIS.
I want to apply for driving license in New Jersey but DMV people told I need to have atleast 60 days left on my i94 in order to apply for License.
When I research on internet and DMV website it was no where mentioned that i94 needs to be valid for next 60 days atleast.
General practice followed by DMV is to give i94 expiry + 3 months as a validity for DL. I am not sure when will the approval come although I do have a receipt copy of extension application from USCIS.
I will really appreciate if someone can suggest me how to get a DL in such scenario when h1b is about to expire but extension is in progress.
