H1B to H4/EAD
I am currently on H1B. I have completed 6-years on H1B and have an approved I-140 from a prior employer via EB2. I want to switch to H4 and EAD against my wife's H1B. I plan to submit my application for H4 and EAD along with my wife's H1B renewal, which will be submitted via premium processing. My questions are:
1. Will USCIS process my H4 and EAD application in the same timeline as my wife's H1B renewal (15 business days), or will it processed on a different timeline (6 - 8 months as a standard H4 and EAD application)?
2. By making this switch to H4 EAD, will I be able to switch back to H1B at a later point without having to go through another H1B lottery, or will I have to go through another H1B lottery (as I already used 6 years on H1B)?
