Question regarding H4 EAD

I currently have my i140 approved and my wife is on OPT. Next year is the last attempt to apply for H1B for her. Couple of questions:

1. we’re thinking to apply for H4 Conversion along with H4 EAD. Would this cause any trouble if she’s gets her H1 picked in lottery next year?
2. If I change job now, should I wait until I get a new router login 192.168.l.l.link/ i140 from new employer to apply for H4 EAD? Or Is it fine to just use the one I already have?

Please let me know if should hire a lawyer for this advice. I’m just not sure if this a complex situation or I don’t have enough knowledge.
