I’m about to graduate this May and was selected in the H1B lottery. My lawyer just told me that my employer will file the H1B petition under premium processing, so there is a high chance that the result will come out pretty quickly if nothing is wrong. Since my employer also allows for a start date in October, I’m considering file my petition as a consular notification and apply for a H1B during summer break when I’m back to my home country. Anyone have done this before? Would there any risks associated with that? Thanks!
